The lake and facilities

Lac des Souvenirs is split into two banks, each with it’s own entrance and access track. North bank has the cabin and Frankie’s bar for use by all visitors on both banks. South bank has no facilities as yet.  You can drive round from one side to the other using the external track. You cannot walk around the lake perimeter due to the adjacent properties being too close to the banks sadly.

So the lake can be booked in three ways;

• Firstly as an individual or small group, fishing on either bank to be joined by others possibly.
• Secondly you can book either bank for your group’s exclusive use, please note that the showers and cabin on the North bank are shared by both banks. Dogs by agreement.
• Lake exclusive, only your group on-site.

We have a large kitchen cabin which will have infra-red heaters for winter use. The outside terrace area has bench seating on both sides which can seat 8/10 comfortably, with space for loose chairs or tables in the centre. Outside there is space for four at the picnic bench to enjoy those warmer days and evenings.

There is a large hot plate available to rent for cooking full English breakfasts and much, much more besides! This costs just £25 a week including gas. Charging points for portable devices are all in the kitchen area.

The shower and toilet block on the North bank were newly fitted out in Spring 2023 with a powerful fresh water 90cm shower cabinet, washbasin, toilet, mirror and heater. There is an additional separate toilet with heater. 

Pegs are large and well-spaced with a minimum of 6m x 6m area. Pegs on the North bank are all white shingle; in The Woods pegs all local gravel and sand.
