A tranquil 75-year-old 10-acre gravel pit, with 10 pegs of which 4 are doubles,for up to ten anglers on an arrive and survive basis! The lake is less than two and a half hours from Calais with an easy run straight down the autoroute on the A26. Previously unfished, with Carp to over 50lbs offering the chance of landing an uncaught original or one of our recent 72 Euro Aqua beauties to over 50lbs.
The lake features great depth variations from under a metre on the large plateau to over 4m at the deepest points. There are large pegs set out to give features to fish to, with a minimum of 6m x 6m to allow for even the largest of session bivvies.
Fish stocks are unknown as the lake was previously used a weekend family meeting place by a Champagne farmer’s family. Estimated stock level is 250-300 Carp. The lake has several resident 50 lb+ Carp, with some large uncaught specimens seen regularly alongside known fish. The lake has several Koi and at least one Sturgeon.
Facilities include a brand-new shower cabin with piping hot water, wash basin and 2 toilets. A kitchen cabin with covered terrace to allow everyone to relax and enjoy eating together; or a few drinks whilst resting your swim perhaps? A gas-powered hot plate is available to rent. There is a sink for washing up and cupboard for storing provisions and plates etc. A generator provides ample power for lighting, recharging and fridge/freezers. A large BBQ is available to rent.
The local bakery is recommended and if required daily runs are available for a small cover charge as are supermarket trips to buy groceries. Tobacco is available 5km from site if needed. My attendance on-site is to assist you during your stay, to ensure the rules are followed and to offer any help that is required before and after your stay. Bait can be purchased on-site.
We offer boats to rent for placing your rigs directly onto features, but casting to many areas is both possible and productive.
Bait boats are allowed with use restricted to your own swim.
Lac des Souvenirs translates as, Lake of Memories. So a visit here is intended to create many happy memories for you all and we will do everything possible to make your stay an enjoyable and safe one.
